With a line-up of 4 people from different backgrounds, each one brings their own musical style to the table all the way from Roots Reggae, Dubstep, Psychedelic Rock and Jungle Techno. Influences include: King Tubby, Ozric Tentacles, Dreadzone, Gregory Isaacs, Congo Natty, Beres Hammond, The Prodigy, LTJ Bukem, Zion Train, Bob Marley, Eek-A-Mouse, Transglobal Underground, Horace Andy.

The Main line-up

The first incarnation of the band formed from David Ludlow (drums) and Mark Furlong (guitar) jamming Funk and Reggae in 2010. Soon after Nicholas Frost (engineer) and Chris Newcome (bassist) joined the mix. Their direction from the very beginning was to perform live reggae music with the Dub engineer on stage alongside the others.

The second incarnation kicked off in 2015 with a line-up change to Jan Bull (Vocals), Lion Eye (Vocals), Dan (Bass) and Richard Park (Sax), including founding members David Ludlow, Nicholas Frost and Mark Furlong.

This is where the live act started to discover the home of The Mamosians will forever be large stage audiences and festivals. Performing in such places as: The Ritz Manchester, The Roots Weekender Festival, Another Fine Fest Festival and Antwerp Mansion Manchester. Also playing alongside acts such as: Jah Screechy, Dub Smugglers, King Yoof, Cheshire Cat, Operation Sound System, Extra Love and Red Eye Hifi.

The third incarnation shows a new direction for the group from 2019 as they evolve into The Mamosians SoundSystem. An entirely new sound and live experience are paving the way
